ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK (student)
HOURS OF WORK:
Variable up to 36.25 hours per week
Operations Building - Upper Canada Village
(11 km east of Morrisburg)
$12. 25 per hour
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:
May to August 2017
To provide reception, administrative and clerical support services for the entire Upper Canada Village Historic site. To provide effective lines of communication to visitors, clients and staff of Upper Canada Village. To provide enthusiastic detail on Upper Canada Village programming and services. To provide reception services by greeting visitors and answering phones and e-mails. To provide administrative support by inputting the requisition, acquisition, and inventory in the retail information system including pricing lists and vendor lists. Preparing purchase orders, ensuring saleable invoices are accurate with receiving, and verifying receipt of village product from packing slips. To provide administrative assistance to the youth programs team and to provide assistance to the core events/special events team as required. Additional duties will include scanning, filing, photocopying, ordering supplies, and taking photos. Other duties as assigned.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and effective information services to the public and Village staff; good working knowledge and ability to use computer software, Microsoft Word and Excel; previous experience in reconciling accounts and office procedures, ability to capture and upload photos, ability to assume responsibility, good physical condition, exercise initiative and apply acquired organizational skills. Ability to possess personal commitment to customer service, and health and safety. Valid driver’s license.
