POSITION: OFFICE CLERK (student) 

HOURS OF WORK: variable hours to a maximum of 35 hours per week (weekends, evenings and holidays as required)

DIVISION / LOCATION:
Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada
Kingston, Ontario

SALARY:
$12.25 per hour

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: May to September 3, 2017

DUTIES:
To provide reception and clerical support services for Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada. To assist in the collection, data entry and analysis of daily activity, revenue and operational expenditures. To provide effective lines of communication to visitors, clients and staff. To enthusiastically provide details on Fort programming and services in order to influence revenue generation. To assist in the quality presentation and operation of the Discovery Centre Interpretive Centre by opening and closing interactive display area and providing light housekeeping duties for the building.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and effective information services to the public and Fort staff; good working knowledge and ability to use computer software, Microsoft Word and Excel; previous training and/or experience in office procedures; ability to assume responsibility, exercise initiative and apply acquired organizational skills while working alone, with minimal supervision and/or as a team member; ability to understand the importance of and maintain confidentiality.
